Hatha Yoga: In-Person Complete Practice OPEN AIR
SAT OCT 17, 8 - 9:15 AM PDT

With no other goal of the person remaining (for they all have been fulfilled), the qualities (of Nature) resolve themselves back into the flow (of Nature).” - Yoga Sutra 4.34

“The only thing that is natural is to be in sync with the rhythms of nature.”  - Dr. Vikas Kumar Sangotra

DESCRIPTION: This is an all-levels physical yoga practice incorporating yoga philosophy, with generous time for breathwork and meditation.  Practicing in the open air develops different skills than training in the studio.  While the studio allows for intense focus on the foundational limbs of yoga, such as physical practice, outdoor practice lends itself to cultivation of the final limbs - the ability to withdraw from sensory attachments, and pursue the path of meditation and liberation.

LOCATION: A private outdoor space in Old Towne Orange. Address will be sent upon registration.

WHAT TO BRING:  The outdoors gives us a lot of material to work with at the subtle level:  our likes and dislikes, flexibility, and tolerance for discomfort.  With this in mind, it is suggested to dress in layers and bring a scarf or blanket for protection from sun and insects.  There will be some mats and blocks available but you are encouraged to bring your own props, possibly ones you have set aside for outdoor use.  If you live in the neighborhood, please consider walking to class, so that you may connect to the experience of the outdoors in the present moment before settling into your practice.
